Facts and Questions

Is CBD safe to take with other medications?

CBD has an excellent safety profile. However, it is important to consult your physician before taking CBD.

Q:

A:

How long after starting CBD will it take to notice a benefit?

This can vary. Some patients notice benefits after a single dose. However, seeing a benefit can take up to 3-4 weeks. It is vital to continue to use CBD based on the recommended dosing schedule.

Q:

A:

What are the common side effects of CBD?

After a review of published research and the clinical experiences of our extensive provider network, the side effect of drowsiness is the most common side effect. We have estimated this side effect can occur in 5-10% of patients. Other side effects that have been reported but are rare include GI discomfort, headache, hives, and pruritus (itchiness).

Q:

A:

Will taking CBD cause me to have a positive urine drug screen?

Any CBD product can cause a positive urine drug screen. However, the important component to drug testing is the confirmatory test. If a patient is using full-spectrum CBD there is a possibility the confirmatory test could be positive for THC. With patients using broad-spectrum CBD, again, the urine drug screen may be positive; however, the confirmatory test for THC will always be negative because it contains zero THC.

Q:

A:

What is the difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD?

Full-spectrum CBD contains a high concentration of cannabidiol and small amounts of all other cannabinoids within the cannabis plant. This includes a small amount (<0.3%) of THC. Even though it contains a small amount of THC, it does not cause intoxication or euphoria. Broad spectrum CBD also has high concentrations of cannabidiol and the other associated cannabinoids but contains zero THC.

How do I know the correct amount of CBD to use?

Scientists and physicians at ReviveMD have painstakingly reviewed hundreds of scientific articles. They have collaborated with an extensive network of partnering healthcare professionals to create a precise, condition-specific dosing schedule. This dosing schedule is available to you on our website here.

Q:

A:

What is the best way to take CBD?

Based on scientific research, CBD's highest absorption rate occurs by placing it under the tongue, allowing it to enter the bloodstream directly. This method allows the CBD to bypass liver metabolism, increasing the amount of CBD available to the body. CBD can also be taken as a capsule; however, we do not recommend this form of administration. Topical CBD is an alternate option for patients with localized pain issues.

A:

What are common uses for CBD?

CBD is not intended to treat or cure any disease. Although CBD can be used in many ways, CBD is most commonly used to improve the symptoms associated with pain, sleep, and anxiety. In addition, patients with Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and seizure disorders have also found CBD to be beneficial.
